3. MY JOB

Working at the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital you will see a lot of things. I've worked with kids with diabetes, cancer, and many other diseases. I love what I do. I feel children are a gift from God. It's hard seeing some of these kids everyday knowing that one day they want be here. There is one little boy we can all take a lesson from. He's five years old and when he was getting out of school and going home he was hit by a school bus. I spoke with him and asked him what happen, he said in such a cheerful and playful voice,"I was hit by a bus, it was a big bus." If that had been an adult we would be crying and carrying on like it's the end of the world. Children have such strong spirits. Adults complain about simple things, like bills, relationships, am I going to pass my test. But here's a child hit by a bus and all he complained about is his mom not bringing his toy airplane to the hospital. We can all take a lesson.

That's great that you like helping children. That particular boy sounds very optimistic. It must be great to know him. I enjoyed reading your post.

I admire you for helping children, I think that is awesome! You are so right, we could all take a lesson form that little boy.
